Welcome to Charcuterie 101

Whether you’re looking for a unique Girl’s Night Out or have an upcoming birthday or Bachelorette Party, our new Charcuterie 101 class is sure to be a hit!!

What’s the history behind this delicious presentation of food? Charcuterie originated in France during the 15th century and the word literally means cured meats. As you can probably imagine, refrigeration wasn’t a thing back then, so finding creative ways to preserve every last scrap was a must. Nothing went to waste. Scraps would be pressed and then cured to be used at a later time.

Fast forward to today, this beautiful presentation is a great way to bring friends and loved ones together. A traditional board will include cured meats, select cheese, crackers, pickled vegetables and other tidbits to tie it all together.

During this class, you’ll learn how to make an artisanal cracker, a quick pickle, a gastrique as well as learn a few clever knife cuts to make your board look beautiful. Our Chefs will combine seasonal ingredients to ensure your board is local and fresh.

The Holiday’s are fast approaching and we are booking up fast. Be sure to schedule your special event soon!! We can’t wait to create with you.
